Captain Gina M Johnson is currently assigned to the Northern Command Administrative Services area to include the Communications Center. She began her career with the Department of Public Safety/Highway Patrol Division in March of 1991. She served the first 14 years of her career in the Las Vegas area before taking on her current assignment.

During her tenure with the Division, Captain Johnson has been assigned to both traffic operations and administrative services. In September of 2001, she was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in Las Vegas. During this time she served as a Swing Shift Operations Sergeant and later the Administrative Services Sergeant. In September of 2004, she was promoted to Lieutenant. As a Lieutenant she spent time in Las Vegas as the Swing Shift Operations Commander, Administrative Commander and Executive Officer to the Deputy Chief. Additionally, she has served Headquarters as the Fleet Commander and Statewide Commercial Commander. In September 2009 she was promoted to Captain and is staffed at Headquarters as General Services Bureau.
