This commendation is awarded to a Division member for an
EXTRAORDINARY act of heroism which extends FAR above the normal call of duty
or service performed at GREAT RISK to personal safety or life in an effort
TO SAVE HUMAN LIFE. |

This commendation is awarded to a Division member for an act
of heroism which extends above the normal call of duty or service performed
at RISK to personal safety or life in an effort TO SAVE HUMAN LIFE. |

This commendation is awarded to a Division member, while in
the line of duty, sustains a serious wound or great bodily injury inflicted
by a hostile person. The Purple Heart may be awarded in conjunction with the
Medal of Valor or Meritorious Service Award. These medals may be awarded
posthumously. |
This commendation is awarded to a member for exemplary service where the member
performed beyond the call of duty through diligence and perseverance and such
action prevented crime, protected life and property or aided in the apprehension
of a dangerous criminal.
This commendation is awarded to a member who saves a life by
direct action and need not be performed under conditions requiring bravery or
exposure to danger.
This commendation is to be presented in memory of any member who dies in the
line of duty under honorable conditions.
This commendation is awarded to an employee for performance this
is well above average and demonstrates either courage, devotion to duty,
alertness, or their aptitude for law enforcement work or their continuing desire
to perform a public service
