Captain Pat Gallagher
Nevada Highway Patrol

Captain Pat Gallagher is assigned as the Traffic Commander for the Ely, Alamo, Tonopah and Hawthorne Districts. He has held that position since July 2006. Captain Gallagher is a 16 year veteran of the Division. Captain Gallagher joined the Highway Patrol in 1990 and was assigned to Las Vegas Traffic operations. In 1993 he transferred to Reno. During his time spent working in Reno Traffic Operations he was assigned to the Reno Motorcycle Program and also worked as an accident re-constructionist. In 1998 he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and transferred to Elko as the Administrative Sergeant. July 2001 he was promoted to Lieutenant.

Captain Gallagher has overseen the Accident Reconstruction Program in Central Command for the past 8 years as well as fleet operations.

Captain Gallagher currently resides in Spring Creek with his three children. Patrick, Katie and Michael.
