Commander, southern Command
Lieutenant David Miller, a 14 year veteran of the Highway Patrol, is currently assigned to the Southern Command Communications Center, Radio Shop and Special Operations.

Lieutenant Miller began his law enforcement career with the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office as a patrol deputy in 1991. In 1994 he joined the Nevada Highway Patrol and was assigned as a Trooper to Las Vegas. In 1998, he transferred to Reno as a Trooper. In 2003, he was promoted to Sergeant and transferred to Las Vegas. In 2007, he was promoted to Lieutenant and assigned the swing shift traffic operations in Las Vegas.

Lieutenant Miller graduated from San Jose State University in California with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.
