Lieutenant Scott Swain Nevada Highway Patrol

Lieutenant Scott Swain is assigned as the Executive Officer to the Chief, Carson City, Headquarters. He has held that position since February 2007. Lieutenant Swain is a 22 year veteran of the Division.

Lieutenant Swain started his Law Enforcement career in 1981 when he enlisted in the United States Army as a Military Police Officer. Lieutenant Swain was hired by the Reno Police Department in 1984 where he served in the Jail Division. Lieutenant Swain joined the Highway Patrol in 1985 and was assigned to Commercial Operations in Elko. In 1988 he transferred to Reno and was assigned to Traffic Operations. Lieutenant Swain is a Certified Motorcycle Training Officer and served as the Motorcycle Program Coordinator for Northern Command.

In 2003 Lieutenant Swain was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and held many assignments including supervision of the Accident Reconstruction Team. In July 2006 he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and transferred to Central Command-Elko. In February 2007 Lieutenant Swain was reassigned to NHP Headquarters.
