AWARD
The Department of Public Safety, Highway Patrol, received the U.S. Department of Transportation, Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s Leadership Award for Overall State Safety Program Performance.
The award was presented to the Highway Patrol by the FMCSA Administrator for performing well across the performance areas of data quality, traffic enforcement, lowest commercial vehicle fatality rate and the highest number of state-conducted compliance reviews.
The Highway Patrol also received Honorable Mention for Data Quality
Improvements in fiscal year 2006-2007.
This award recognizes the Highway Patrol for exhibiting significant
improvement in overall data quality performance (timeliness, accuracy, and
completeness of crash and inspection records) between fiscal year 2006 and
fiscal year 2007.
